Before taking ownership of the bar, Rachael trained and worked as a licensed funeral director and embalmer—a profession that deeply shaped her appreciation for empathy, connection, and meaningful service. At Bar Mon Ami, she brings that same sense of care and intention to every aspect of hospitality, from curating cocktail menus to creating experiences that bring people together. Her favorite spirit, Scotch, reflects her love of craftsmanship and quiet reflection. Under her guidance, Bar Mon Ami has become a welcoming neighborhood space built on authenticity, artistry, and strong community ties.

With nearly 20 years in the industry, Joel brings seasoned expertise, creativity, and a remarkably refined palate to Bar Mon Ami. As Bar Manager, he excels at crafting cocktails that are both inventive and perfectly balanced, with a particular love for tequila that shines through in his signature creations. Joel’s leadership extends beyond the bar menu—he mentors staff, fosters a culture of collaboration, and ensures that every team member feels empowered to deliver exceptional service. His guidance helps maintain the bar’s high standards while encouraging creativity and growth among the team. On weekends, he can often be found cherishing time with his daughter, balancing his passion for hospitality with the joys of family life.

With more than a decade in the hospitality industry, Carlos brings experience, intuition, and genuine passion to his craft. As Bar Mon Ami’s Head of Hospitality, he leads with warmth, professionalism, and an effortless ability to make every guest feel welcome. Known for his exceptional flavor palate and deep love of all things agave, Carlos’s favorite cocktail is a perfectly balanced Negroni. Beyond the bar, he has a profound love of animals—especially Cocker Spaniels—and previously worked at a kennel caring for and vaccinating dogs. Whether he’s crafting inventive cocktails or sharing stories about his furry friends, Carlos brings heart, expertise, and a sense of joy to everything he does at Bar Mon Ami.

Beyond the bar, Daylyn is an accomplished visual artist, currently exploring her passion through her own studio. When she’s not mixing drinks, you’ll often find her immersed in her artwork, creating pieces that reflect her vibrant imagination and attention to detail. Her dual talents—both behind the bar and in the studio—make her a uniquely creative and inspiring part of the Bar Mon Ami team.

Kirstien brings several years of hospitality experience to Bar Mon Ami, with a background shaped by time behind the bar at respected San Antonio spots including Francis Bogside and Hanzo. Known for her calm confidence and attentive service, she values thoughtful hospitality and creating an inviting atmosphere for every guest. With an appreciation for well-balanced cocktails and the rhythm of a great bar, Kirstien is a welcome presence on the floor—approachable, reliable, and always focused on delivering a memorable experience.

Although new to bartending, MarcAnthony brings nearly a decade of hospitality experience and a lifelong connection to the industry. Having grown up in restaurants and bars alongside his mother, he developed an early appreciation for genuine hospitality and the relationships it creates. Naturally curious and always eager to learn, he thrives on a new challenge and loves getting to know the people who gather at Bar Mon Ami. Outside of the bar, he's preparing to return to school to pursue archeology, combining his passion for history with an insatiable love of learning. Whether he's perfecting a cocktail, diving into a new subject, or sharing a conversation with guests, he brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and heartfelt hospitality to every shift.
